Did you know… that the simple act of having family photographs in your home increases your children’s self-esteem? Studies show that having your family photographed and having those professional portraits displayed prominently in your home sends the message that your family is important to each other, and that you honor the memories you’ve created together. David Krauss, a licensed psychologist says, “I think it is really important to show a family as a family unit. A photographer’s job is to create and make the image look like a safe holding space for kids where they are safe and protected. Kids get it on a really simple level.”
So you’re ready to book your shoot.
What to expect
before.
After you’ve either reached out to me through the form on my Contact page or gone ahead and schedule your session, I will usually get back to you within 48 hours. This is when we’ll talk details - time, location(s), your dreams and how I can make them come true, etc. Once that’s settled, all that’s left to do is pick out your outfits, wrangle up the fam, and patiently await your shoot! Of course if you have any questions beforehand, I will be here for you with whatever you may need and am always available to you.
during.
When we meet at our predetermined location, we’ll chat about any ideas you may have and some ideas that I have. Don’t worry, we will get that “dream shot.“ You may be stressed, but you really don’t have to be. I’m super easy going and great with kids! I have years of nannying experience to thank for that. We’ll walk around, explore, and every once in awhile I’ll stop and snap some photos. No need to worry about how to stand, how to smile, or what to do with your hands – I got you covered!
after.
My favorite part! Editing and delivering your photos to you. Within 2-3 weeks of the shoot and after you’ve signed my General Photo Release agreement, you will receive your beautifully-edited photos via your own private online gallery. There, you’ll be able to share your pics with family and friends, download them in high resolution to your device of choice, and even order prints!

45 minute session
1 location, no outfit change

Up to 90 minute session
2 locations, 1 outfit change (optional)

A $50 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of reservation. This will go toward the price of the package you choose.
don’t forget your furry friends!
10/10 would recommend bringing your fur babies to your family shoot (along with a designated third-party leash holder). Trust me, you won’t regret it. They are the most important members of the family after all!
